We are Michael and Kay, the creative minds behind Marks & Pencils, illustrators of glass, homeware, and gifts.
Together, we design and create beautiful, bespoke pieces which make thoughtful presents for loved ones, or a luxury treat for yourself.

All our products are designed and created by hand from our studio and workshop in the home we share with our young son, Zakk, and menagerie of pets.
Each of our illustrations, whether etched on to a high quality drinks glass, or an architectural feature for your home, is designed in our studio.
How we engrave our glass...
Using a combination of traditional and digital drawing, we work together to design and create each stencil, which is then cut and adhered to the glass surface.
The design is then sandblasted onto the glass by hand. Next, it's cleaned, and prepared for delivery.
Working out of our home means that Zakk will often get involved in the design and making process. He loves joining in and is a quick learner, so he's affectionately dubbed 'the apprentice'.
You'll often see him helping with everything; designing new products, peeling the stencils, packing and preparing orders... There's nothing he won't turn his hand to!
